18X8.75 Offset 40mm
Was cool reading the comments. As for neg. (not to be rude) understand that & to each his own, always great to get some kind of reaction. The whole purpose of this build (my mildest) was to show GM owners that you don't have to spend an arm & leg to fix up your ride. That's what caught SEMA & GM eye Fearone winning "Best Small Car" award as well as the custom subtle things through out the build. I thought the comment on rear brake drum cover was funny, as GM thought that was cool to do since at this point rear disc not offer, plus GM figure it was custom made to fit Sonic bolt pattern, which was correct.
One thing like to mention as I'm sure owners on here that never done a SEMA build for GM don't know. If you cut or grind even the tinyest bit on their SEMA partner program vehicle (this GM requirement started bk in 07) then depending on the state you live in, would become a scrap or salvage title. Plus of course no GM warrenty what so ever. So in a sense made us GM SEMA builders job easier and to go more with bolt on products. Thank you one and all for your comments, what makes us unique as car owners.

As a former employee of GM I can understand where the philosophy of the build came from (it's fun to bust balls though). Additionally, SEMA stands for Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association, not Specialty Equipment Fabricators Association.
Needless to say, I'm okay with a bolt on based build. Hell, I have yet to see any individual members of this board fabricate much more than an exhaust, RNI, or some interior geegaws.

Nice you work for GM as you understand their SEMA build process. Any way again hope offset & width is helpful to you. I know for me this forum help when I started build for GM and especially Inm on here allot.

I will repeat that I love the paint scheme and rims. And the other comments I made were simply opinion feedback. Ironically, sometimes when I get negative feedback about a mod I've worked really hard on, it only makes me like what I've done even more.
With a 40mm offset on 8.75, is there any clearance issues? I don't imagine that offset required spacers?

No worries, as they say life to short to worry. Thank you for the comments. As for clearance no issues & no spacers.
Thanks on paint scheme and rims. I will never hear the end of paint scheme from the wife, as I was leaning with black & teal. Dealers in 3-states at the time did not have black with turbo, so I took the gray met. with turbo. Since I was short on build time to completely repaint vehicle I took her advice & went gray/teal. No I have to say she was right, black/teal to much contrast. And needles to say GM was super impressed as was SEMA.

Jet sent me what they recommened for a OEM Turbo Sonic. So not sure custom or off self. Plus I did let them know other upgrades I was planning i.e. Nitrous etc.
Some have posted on here not a fan of Jet and that's fine. I'm sure everyone has their likes & dislikes on after market products. But to date not a single problem with Jet.
As for Jet difference hard to say, as I had all performance upgrades done same time. I will say I was impress with GM stock turbo power. But a super hugh difference after all the performance upgrades.
I hope after the holidays to have dyno. As stated performance up grades Turbo easy feels like double in H.P. Another thing like to point out on power, is how with Pedders coil-overs Sonic just sticks to road especially corning & side to side. Can't prasie Pete enough on his fine product.
