The fogs look great! Cheap to buy and install yourself. $225.00 is MSRP on the fogs. Very cheap for fogs! Good quality dont let the price fool you!

The kit comes with a replacement OEM switch (looks great). It is frustrating that the computer is involved to make the fogs work. You will see the reference in the directions as well. Couldnt believe it...ugh.

Its not the ECM that would control the lights but the BCM. That bad boy controls everything. Lights, radio, traction control, ABS, and bosses the ECM around as well. Really fun stuff when you're told one week at work to try and make a car run and drive without one (took me about a week to do with a preproduction, instrumented ECM).

I will never understand why makers just don't have some simple screws that hold the lens on. If you need to change the bulb you remove the lens, pull the bulb and put in the new one. But no, instead you have to have a pit crew to remove your wheel and tear out your fender liner.

Makes me glad that fogs weren't an option for me.

That's a truly boneheaded decision GM made on that one. They are definitely trying to force the owner into dealer-only fog lamp change. And if the procedure is correct, it will not be cheap. For god's sake!

My Honda Fit has two screws, one on each side of the fog lamp assembly for removal. You take out the two screws, the entire fog lamp assembly comes out after disconnecting the bulb socket from the back of the assembly. It's like a ten second process! DOH!!!

I took mine out and encased the bulbs with nice-looking metal wire (screening) I painted black, for protection against bulb breakage by rocks and debris. Worked like a charm, looks nice too.

Geez, I was hoping to perform the same protective fog lamp mod on my Sonic when getting it... I guess it's not going to be anywhere approaching that easy!

Did the dealer charge you to program it for the option?

I was thinking of having my dealer do the install, but they want $400 just to do the labor!
