Folding of front passenger seat?

One of the things I like about the Fit is that the front passenger seat folds all the way back over the folded down rear seats so you can run longer stuff all the way to the dashboard, which is handy because there isn't a whole lot of room between the seats to do that.

It doesn't look like the Sonic can do that based on the pictures I've seen of where the rear seats end up when folded down, but how far can you fold the front seat forwards, and how far back with the rear seats down?

In case anyone else was wondering, the word I got back from Chevy is it doesn't fold in either direction.

The front seat reclines a fair amount doesn't it? I'm sure it's not flat, but it has to recline pretty low right?

You get a decent view of where the folded down rear seat ends up in relation to the pivot point of the front seat back in this video at about 2:10 (Then he tries to get the other seat down and he can't get it to clear and just gives up, hah!)

Even with the rear headrests removed I don't think it would go back more than about 30-40 degrees.

Worst case scenario... Take front passenger seat out? I've done it on other cars for this reason, but don't know if it would mess with the airbag computer sensors. Everything is a compromise I guess.

It's too bad the seat doesn't fold forward the way the one did in my HHR - I could haul 8 foot pieces of lumber in the HHR, always amazed the lumber yard guys. Doesn't matter as I fully knew that I wouldn't be hauling around the same stuff in my Sonic hatch.
