So I just changed out my end links on my '12 sonic. As most of you know there is no official aftermarket end link. The ones at the dealer are $23.00 each, however I would just end up replacing those in 20k miles as this is now the second time they have been changed. I heard that the Cruze uses almost the same end links so I took a chance and ordered 2 moog k750519 end links. To. My surprise the are exactly the same size as the oem end links.
Took about 20 mins to get both changed out. Upper and lower nuts are 18mm. The factory uses nylock nuts so you may need to use a set of channel locks to hold the shaft while you remove the nut.
The new nuts use a crushed thread at the end, this proved to be a bit tight for my liking so I ran a 12mmx1.75 tap through the nut to loosen it up just a tad.
Just took my sonic for a ride and no more clunking noise
