You can go right from one to the other. The manual recommends anything above 87, but the ecm will adjust accordingly.

the need to label ethanol content varies from state some just require to say contains up to 20% some may be different, that's more varied to your location. As to fuel you cant go wrong with what the ppl who made the thing say, and yes you can go between fuel grades as long as you dont tune and even that is iffy now lol. the ecm on stock will just bring the timing down when you reach knock conditions is the way vince at trifecta seemed to explain it.

The last vehicle I poured injector cleaner in died of a broken fuel pump within two days. I vote no on the new car. I'd just stick with gas of known quality (Shell and Exxon and such). Its worth a few pennies for peace of mind. Thats what I'm doing anyway.

I'm sold on running 93 in my car. She feels a lot peppier and my gas mileage is up, to boot!
