Good Idea? Yes? No? Opinions?!

Hey everyone,
A friend of mine belongs to a Jeeping club/forum and they have a neat little thing they to to spread the word around. Thought I'd pass it on because I haven't heard anyone bring anything like it up before.

They have a uniform picture formatted with the club name, slogan, facebook page and website on it that everyone can just print from their home computer and cut out and keep in their car. If they're out and see a lifted jeep, they put the slip under a wiper.

I don't know if that sound's to "solicity" but it is an idea, I know I would think it was pretty neat if someone liked my sonic enough to invite me to their group. I'd feel like a badass haha. Any opinions on it though?

I wanted to post a post about getting a logo sticker that people could put in their back window (a small one, to fit in the corner) that only other SOF's would know about..
Our headlights are unique, so something maybe with that graphic...

Your idea would be great with a logo!

The used to do that years ago on another site I'm on. IIRC a member left a card on another member's car. :banana:

This wouldn't work for me, the only Sonics I ever see belong to rental companies (judging by the way-far-out-of-state plates and barcode labels slapped on every window.) Few seem to have actually purchased one of these things around here. opcorn:

I think this is an awesome idea. The stickers are great but unless every user has them, its a slow advertising method. Only problem I have is I rarely see sonics parked other than at an auto parts store. See lots of them on the road now driving but only know of 1 member I found due to the "was that you threads".

Heh... I saw one decked out complete with a NAPA hat and everything about a month ago. :banana: The Sonic seems to be a good parts runner car.

I guess since they can't get a Ranger, Aveo or Vibe anymore, Sonic it is...

No really, I've left them for the same forum ColonelPanic is talking about. Never saw anyone join, but I have my little post-it pad in my glove box for the fateful day when I actually find a Sonic.

Well, I don't know about "the members" lol. Only the few of us still super duper excited that we had Vibes.

The stickers are cool but don't want to pay $10 for something I'm going to put on someone else's car and not even have the guarantee that they will care. I was thinking something that everyone could print themselves that are easy, cheap and a one time use but also uniform so everyone is leaving the same card. If they don't care, they throw it away. If they do care, they come check us out and still throw it away. It's a win-win for everyone but the ream of paper.

That or get some of those print-at-home business cards (perforated). Probably like $3. I like the idea of a forum calling card. Sort of like Fight Club except we tell a sh!tload of people.

I see sonics all the time around me! theres this white sedan that a younger chick drives, then some other white sedan that this fat lady was driving, then there is a red hatch that looked like an old lady was driving, then there was a silver LTZ sedan but I have only seen that parked....they are everywhere O.O

funny thing is I totally went about a week or so with my car before i noticed ANY of them. trendsetter? damn skippy!! haha...or not

Ahaha that's a great idea. I've only stalked other sonics before. I'll see a sonic parked at a store and I'll happen to park next to it
