We can agree to disagree but knowing what I know about any kind of finish if you apply a new one over a bad failing one the new will fail also. Then you will say it was the cerakote failing when it was the application process.
I hope I am wrong because no one wants something to turn out bad. Taking mine out for the first time this weekend and can't wait to see how it does or if it will hold up.
Got an answer from a 3rd party 'smith that seems reputable on one of the forums. He mentioned that media blasting as prep work for cerakote will not remove pits from surface.
Seems that your guy did you a solid when he fixed yours for cerakoating. Good work there.
