I have an LTZ hatchback. 1.4 turbo, 6 speed manual. I wish I had the LT tires and wheels. I don't care for the low profile tires/wheels on my car but I like everything else about the LTZ package.

Different strokes for different folks. I prefer cloth seats over leatherette, and couldn't care less about having a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Living in the hot and sunny southeast, I need heated seats like a hole in the head.
Most of the LT- LTZ price difference is cosmetic features I don't need or want. The LS was just too basic, so the LT fit the bill for me.

Same here.
I rented an ltz, thats what got me interested in the sonic. So after 3 days and lots of driving i loved the car, but my back was constantly sweaty/sticky thanks to the seats. And i couldnt think of using heated seats EVER haha.
Wheels would be the only good thing. Rather just swap them
See, up here in Canada you NEED heated seats! LOL especially up north where it hits -40C/F on a regular basis. We also have wonderful things like block heaters, oil pan heaters, snow tires with metal studs and so on.
I got leather for the simple fact that cloth seats trap way too much dog fur, odours, and dirt. And since we plan on some long distance trips with this car while taking the dogs with, it was a good idea and the LTZ fit the bill.

Like I said, different strokes for different folks. There's no right or wrong here.
I lived in North Dakota and Minnesota for years, so I'm quite familiar with extreme cold weather driving. I got along fine without heated seats, but to each his own.
I don't own any pets, and cloth is cooler and more comfortable in my current hot, sunny climate. Plus I saved a good bit of money. Works for me.

I got the LTZ because there were some features you could only get with that trim, at least with the 2013's, such as the sunroof. At the time I really didn't want some of the other things that came with it, such as the MyLink and the leatherette. Well the MyLink has really grown on me and I'm really glad I have it now, and I don't mind the leatherette. The perforated seating surfaces keep you from getting too hot and when it's cold the seat heaters take quick care of that.
Chevy is not the only one being sly with the leather"ette" seating surfaces though, luxury manufactures such as Audi and Mercedes use it too believe it or not.

I'll be honest and say that I prefer leatherette to actual leather. It's way more durable, requires way less maintenance, more scratch resistant, and won't crack, it's cheaper. Heck the only disadvantage I see is it would hurt resale value but seeing as we drive sonics I don't think I'd be worried too much about that one. I have a 5k leather couch combo at home and live in a dry area and have to treat it monthly. Such a pain in the butt.

I'm el cheapo boy lol. I got an LS auto. I was actually pretty happy with the standard features as it was.. plus it has a MyLink radio. I'm all good with that. I do love the LTZ though... it's gorgeous.

This is the first car I've owned with heated seats. The winters here are usually pretty mild, so maybe I fire up those seats 6-8 times a season. Still worth it, having almost instant heat hit your backside before the heater starts spewing any heat. The sunroof and the nice 17" alloy wheels are just icing on the cake.
