Heat shield/Sensor wire bracket bolt missing??

ok, so as i popped the hood to detail under my hood, (very ocd about it) i noticed there was a loose bracket. i looked at it closer and noticed it was missing the bolt going to the heat shield on the manifold. o.o so im like, ok well this is lovely. i was just wondering if anyone has found this issue?? Im calling up to the local dealer/previous employer to put in for warranty work, because of the recall and the glovebox. fell off a few months back, just didnt bother to fix it.

Me either. In fact the whole time I've had my sonic I haven't seen it. I just don't want this to be another problem. I mean I know all I gotta do is get a screw and tighten it up, but its only got 15k on it.

Mine was missing had to order the bolts from the dealer for like 4 bucks straight from opel

And while i was waiting for the special order expensive bolts i zip tied the o2 sensor bracket to the engine hoist bracket it held it down well

I haven't even seen that bracket there.

it on the 1.8 motor . the bolt that was holding the bracket on mine was loose as well .

Also fell off my car, appears to just be a clip to keep the wire from touching the heat shield. I just found a bolt that fit and screwed it back on.

So I'm not the only one ok. But either way its no big deal, when I took it into the dealer for the recall(s) he found a bolt to put in there. Not happy that its a WAY diffrent looking blot, but you can't really see it. Also I found out that, with a half inch rachet, a small extension, and a 19mm socket, I could brake the lugnuts loose on the car. I found that out to be hilarious. XD

I’d be more worried about if you could break the lugs off with a 1/4” ratchet. But yeah lugs should be torqued to 100 lb/ft. And yes, I too am missing that bolt holding that bracket up, having a hell of a time trying to find a replacement.
