I've developed a fairly simple method for turning off the seat belt warning chime. I can walk you through it real quick and you can try it out next time you drive.


Step 1 : Reach to your left and grasp the seatbelt strap.

Step 2: Pull the seatbelt across your chest and waist/hip area.

Step 3: Insert the end into the seatbelt buckle.

Step 4: Enjoy the silence.

I'm still in the process of testing this out, but so far...it has worked every time.

Can confirm this is 100% effective in making the seat belt chime stop seat belt chiming.

I had bought some fake Seat belt buckles off eBay, but I never use them anymore...

Like living near the train tracks growing up, it's at the point I don't even hear or notice it anymore.

Old Dog, etc... Although I fix it YOUR way when I have others in the car...

I've got the old-style Motorcycle Dash - 2013 and haven't kept up on newer models...

Any new "hidden" features since they started using the newer style dash?

Or any newer features in general, not already covered here?

You can turn off your DRLs and not have to run your lights during the day. Not as common knowledge as I thought it was. Just rotate your headlight knob to the left to shut them down just like at night time.

Day running lights are handy for viability, so I recommend leaving them on due since too many people can't drive...

Daytime running lamps shorten the life of your bulbs for no reason so I recommend leaving them off to avoid buying bulbs more frequently.

PS if someone can’t drive me having DRL on isn’t going to cause them to drive better......

I think DRL create a hazard for other drivers. They create a distraction in the rear view mirror, which night dimming reduces, but then it is harder to spot drivers without DRL behind you. On coming traffic also creates unneeded glare. Save the lights for night driving.

I don't know if this has been mentioned already. To go into headlight high beam the lever needs to be flipped down, but to go back to back to low beam the lever may be flipped up or down.

I disagree. I have never been distracted by other's DRL.

To be honest, I have never even paid attention to other cars having lights on or off. But now I guess I'm going to after reading this....

Now at night, those bright white headlights that aren't aligned right tick me off, blind me and give me a mean headache. THOSE should be outlawed....

But I do have one problem with DRL being active. I park with my headlights aimed right into someones apartment window. So with them on, I kinda tick them off if I don't hit the switch before I pull in, and I never do get to that switch. Even at night... Oops...
