I bought an aftermarket unit also. You're on the right track look on ebay I purchase my dash kit. With harness for 89.00. can't go wrong with saving a little money. Tour radios not the best, but I've replace 800.00 units also, take the chance that unit was what 200.00?

I'm just letting the transmission go and hopefully can get it replaced under warranty. Then I'll put in the heavier trans fluid and consider replacing the clutch/pp with something nicer. I really hope I don't have to get to that point. I know how to drive stick, my last car was a Ford Escort with the Mazda motor/trans in it and it hit 260,000 miles on the original clutch (only thing that went was the slave cylinder) and the clutch was still going up until the day we junked it for leaking brake lines.

I ended up purchasing this with a discount promo code, total came to $140. I may keep the car, I called Chevy and they said they'd reimburse me for the diagnosis charge if there is anything wrong with the transmission on this car. I'll talk to my dealership this weekend about the smell from the defroster.

I thought you were like 21 years old, how did you put 260,000 miles on a car already? I gotta say kudos man because I've never heard of a clutch in a passenger car going more than 100-150K.

I had over 200k miles on my clutch in my last car I replaced it thinking it was going out and I really should not of because my clutch fluid line went out and not my clutch... I still had lots of life left in the clutch plate.

Well guys, I got the head unit in. Audio went out on the 2nd day. Still waiting on an antenna adapter before I attempt to find what broke the sound. Also I can't get OnStar to function. I plugged the two ports in the axxess box. I have pics to follow if required. I'm also trying to figure out where I should mount the GPS antenna without any wires showing. I'm thinking I'll stick it underneath the holder thing on top of the dash. I drilled a hole in the back of one of those storage compartments and ran an iPod cable too. It's pretty cool. The unit support iPod control and charging. Also I can route all phone audio to the car via bluetooth so my Google Play Music library and Pandora can be wirelessly streamed to the car with no effort or wires.

My last car was a 93 Escort GT, hand-me-down from my dad. 2-door hatchback. Had a mazda motor/trans. Once the brake lines started leaking, I decided to retire it.

I really feel jipped, looking at the specs of the 2013 LT Sonic. For $1000 more I could have BT, CC, a decent head unit, AND rear speakers. Chevy you suck.
