I can't speak for the Seibon temperature wise. But I'm sure it will help reduce weight.


I ran another temp test with my vents with two sensors. a) above turbo b) near battery

I was reading on the BMW forums a guy's posts who seemed to be a respectable racer/modder. Ceck the posts with the batmobile-esque e36 in the sig, good stuff.

Unless you're driving through water
Cars now a days are pretty much water proof till you flood the engine
If you're paranoid go through the fuses and add dielectric grease and maybe connectors too

I was kinda tempted to do mine that way if and when I do mine
Get them 3D printed then chemical smoothing and strengthening
Or just get universal ones

I did one with the vapor bath. The cosmetic effect is minimal and it still didn't help with strength.

I do have Aluminum ones. Pics will come when I finish my tinkering.

Hey Llia, On the topic of venting the hood, have you ever thought about removing this foam weather strip? It seems like this strip is here to create some kind of seal with the hood when the hood is closed. I don't know if removing this is a good idea but I think that, unless it has a specific purpose, it would help with heat dissipation.
What do you think?

I feel like it's more so for debris
I feel like you could cut into it and add mesh if you're really feeling anal about it
