Something else entirely like the ZZP rear brace?

I can't find a ZZP rear brace for the sonic. You either mean the DDM brace which I asked about or the sway bar which is different altogether.

I have the ddm brace and am wondering if MPFab has created something better or if it can be used with the ddm rear brace?

I meant the rear sway bar which is just a different way of doing the same exact thing the DDM brace does. I'm not sure how MPFab will come out with a third way to brace the rear torsion beam.

IMO,

DDM does it the worst way,

ZZP is better, but still lacking,

MPF probably has a pretty good idea of what works well - and isn't either of the above.

Can't wait to see. I'm interested in how much the sub frame connectors helped. I know on the older cars they were absolutely needed. What about a tunnel brace?

So you saying I might have to trade in my ddm ?

I'm still testing the torsion beam brace design. The only downside of my design is that it currently requires some threaded inserts to be welded in. This makes it hard for the average enthusiast to install it in the driveway.
The sub frame bracing is currently a bolt in part, however I believe welding them in would yield the best results.
Would you guys purchase a parts that required welding to install?

Not me. I'd much prefer a bolt on option with weld brig optional.

How hard would it be for you to bring your car to a shop and have them weld in the mounting points? Like others have said, the drilling could possibly weaken the torsion beam over time. Permanently attaching a mounting point and painting it for corrosion control would yield better results, plus a drill and mount system is already available.

Did he not ask for an opinion or is that not acceptable? Why couldn't you do either? Allow the ones that want to drill/bolt to drill /bolt allow Those that want to weld to weld.

His setup may be way different than the current products available as stated several times a 3rd way of doing it.

Missed this. I'd also like to know how much more effective. I've had issues with things being over effective in this area a rear sway that was too stiff leading to issues.

Don't hold my opinion to a grain of salt I wouldn't buy until I read comparison reviews between current products and yours.

I want something that going to stiffen it up but not overly stiff.

Another thing is being able to remove and sell at some point.

As much as I say I won't sell ever. Reality in 5/6 years I'll be moving on lol

All this threaded talk is making me wonder if this thing will be adjustable.

Once it gets to production and you can post picture they may make all the difference in whether it would matter to have it welded or not. I mean at a consumer level. If that makes sense.
