My only concern with the new charge pipe is how much harder its going to be to change the oil filter

It appears to be the same diameter and isn't a hard pipe so I would assume that there isn't any difference, silicone has better heat resistance and less expansion under boost. We wont know until Dave releases the specs on it though.

Yeh but right now i have to move the charge pipe out of the way of the oil filter and that wont be possible if its hard silicone. Ill have to remove the whole thing

you should be able to move it. if it would aluminum it would be harder, but silicone should be fine.
