Noticed the Toyota Yaris (the Mazda built one with the ugly schnoz) has also bit the dust. Typical for the U.S. -- folks would rather drive a school bus sized SUV than something efficient. So not only does the U.S. not get pocket rocket/performance variants, we're not even getting the base cars. Perhaps PSA will eventually import something interesting, like a hot Opel hatch, but i'm not holding my breath.
Will eventually buy a 1.8 hatch automatic (turbo issues give me pause), preferably with the RS package. That or a early C4 Corvette or a third gen Camaro if I go the impractical route!
