Warrington Transmission Centre in the UK has been great with getting a pile of stock M32 parts, shipping takes a while but the prices aren't outrageous. They're all clean and look like they've been blasted.
I'm pretty sure WG Motorworks could upgrade the synchros if that's the issue, but I don't think it is. I've not had a problem with the RPM of the shift, generally it's a random.. lock up/cant shift/grinding issue(not from missing shift)..
I actually had a discussion about this with my local parts guy at the dealership down the road from where I work. It turns out third gear is a common failure point in the M32 transmission if I remember correctly and it seems to be a common issue once you start to really raise the power levels.

Back up one moment here about the trans cooler being overkill. It's necessary for those who have modded the piss out of their Sonic's equipped with an automatic transmission. Just doing a tune, intake and down pipe already puts you past the acceptable power levels these transmissions can take and will cause the transmission to get too hot which can cause premature transmission failure. I know this because I've already ran into this issue and need a way to resolve the problem before adding a big turbo kit on the car.
