If you have seen Mamba now sells their wastegate for the cruze and sonic. Kit comes with six springs and their yellow worked best with the BNR tune. Also this wastegate fixed the issue of the stock wastegate with the BNR tune being quite a bit of part throttle boost which isn't enjoyable for daily driving. Stock wastegate has a preload of about 1 to 1.5 turns from zero. Zero being wastegate closed. I found same issue with the Mamba wastegate starting with half turn and got worse with up to 2 full turns ending up with an overboost code with throttle position. I ended up going with zero preload and now the power is fully linear just like stock.
I'm sure you can achieve this with the stock wastegate as well as it is adjustable. Just keep on mind the stock wastegate has that white paint marking if any parts are modified or removed.
When testing each spring I also recorded 0-60 1/8th and 1/4 mile using Dragy along with data logs via torque pro obd2 app with real-time charts plug-in. This is what helped me determine the best spring and preload. All details of of these tests are at this post.

Overall results netted in .6 seconds faster 0-60 and .7 1/4 mile. So if you have the BNR tune getting either the BNR wastegate or Mamba is a definite must have to get the most out of the tune. I hope this helps anyone looking to get an aftermarket wastegate.
