thats not too bad though as the the moldings will need more time to dry since its cold out.
I fall to see why you say I need a line converter, I will be using a Bluetooth receiver for audio. I do not want to mount the eq in a visible location, to keep my dash as clean as possible, hence my reason for the rca level controllers. You're going to need a line converter for the audio output between the N7 and the eq (iStreamer v12). Or, since Jelly Bean has USB Audio, a D/A device.
The eq looks like a good piece. It has a master volume. Why not mount it up under the top cup, just above the vents. Better than adding yet another component in the audio change.
Since the N7 can be an USB host, you should consider attaching an usb hub for mounting in an accessible place, then you can transfer files via a stick. You can also connect a keyboard and trackball.
You should root the N7. There are several feature that become available by rooting that will improve the connectivity and flexibility.
You'll also want to look into XBMC for your interface while driving. It's a nice media player that is easy to use and nice to look at.
I've been looking at this for a while but I want it as a companion system (keep OEM head unit) with external amps. The biggest stumbling block is a preamp/source selector, and the power for all the converters. I want to use an external D/A. My primary reason for this setup is that I still like to listen to the radio, and I don't want to lose the system interface from the mylink.
Forgot to add, Infinity has an interesting integration component but they're phasing it out. It's the IMS. This could give you a power-only usb port as well as master volume and some bonus functions like Bluetooth and such. Something to consider.
I support, as in maintain a total of 43 nexus 7 tablets for work, all of which I rooted and ROM'd with smooth rom...

I plan to root and rom the nexus, and have seen xbmc. I do like the idea of having a USB port for file transfers, however, I would need to figure out how to wire the pogo pins to do that. I do not plan to have the nexus plugged in at any time.
