Hi, I am very interested in moving my RS badge to my front grill, and I understand people have done this with other badges and the Turbo badge, and I was wondering how to go about attaching them to my honeycomb grill. Thanks for any help!
I accomplished this on my last car by heating up the badge quite hot before I removed it from the back of the car, and then stuck it on the front grill using the same glue. It stayed planted there for 6 years and never came off.
I attempted to do this with my RS badge as well, and the glue did not come off easily and I wasn't able to transfer. That being said, because the badge itself is slightly curved, I test fitted it to the front grill, and the options aren't great if you want to reglue it. I think I will end up reglueing and then using a thin black zip tie around the middle of the r to s bridge on the badge to attach to the grill.
Best of luck!
I like that. I'm thinking I'll order one from eBay and leave the original one on the back.
Yeah, it is a little different - im going to try it and see if it bothers me - i like the idea of the screws versus gluing it to my grill![]()
Take some pics of that one beside the real one before you put it on please?
So I reattached it today. Used a plastic bonding glue. Seems tight right now, not sure how it will hold up under weather, but we'll see.
