Why/how does an insurance company own a car? Anyone have reasons? I've never heard that before. Weird
they just pulled the tittle up and the company that owned the car was Government Employees Insurance Company in Texas
It would seem that there still has to be an original owner before GEICO purchased it as a total loss vehicle.
haha i just googled it and its GEICO that owned the car lol
I didn't even know you could tamper with them anymore. Do dealers have that capability via software?
I thought this was the main thing that drove them towards digital odometers in the first place.

I'd imagine it was a company car owned car by Geico.
I dont imagine Geico is at fault. It sounds like Geico owned the car, it got into a crash totalling it out, then a dealership ended up buying it, fixing it up, changing the miles on it and selling it as new with 15 miles.
Correct?
No its not GEICOs fault.. GEICO sold it to the dealership that i bought it from.. they fixed it up and put it on there lot
Today i went to Tom Bannen Chevrolet to get over 13 things done on my car.. and they gave me a rental and within an hour they were calling saying I NEED to come back now.. turns out my car was purchased feb of 2012 and then it was wrecked and declared totaled August 25th of 2012 and the dealer I bought it from bought it and fixed it and somehow got the milage from 9k to 0 and I bought this car "new" with 15 miles on it.. so they would not do any warrenty work on my car because all my warrenty on my car is voided now and I already called the dealer ship where I bought it and said I was going to sue and he hung up.. so I called a lawyer today and they will be calling me back.. the dude said I could get the car plus my money I payed for the car and the money I put into this car. Tired of this **** of being screwed over and I will fight this to the end.
Ok that's what I thought.
This is 100% on the dealership. They fixed up a totaled car, rolled the miles back, and sold a salvaged vehicle as new. This is some deep ****.
You're going to win this case, no matter what, just make sure to get everything in writing from the dealer that told you this.
As they have said, it explains all your problems.
You could def get a zl1 outta this deal, stop messing around with 4doors ;p
Isn't that 9275 miles reported your current mileage?
