Y didnt you use the factory gromit to run the speaker wire?
There's no space to run through. The factory wiring harness takes all the space there.

I drilled a hole on the edge of the connector and ran my wire through it into the rubber to get into the door.
Wasn't easy but it's done

How many wires. What gauge? I am using two 16 gauge. One for the tweeters and one for the door speaker.
Hmm interesting. Well, I wouldn't mind seeing a picture from someone who has done this on an LTZ.
From what I saw and remember there were wires taking up much of the area.
Holy extra wire batman.
The fuse is to protect the wire. If there is a short you risk melting the wire in the engine bay and in your car. And on rare instances could cause the battery to blow up lol.
Fuses are important, i ran one way larger than i needed so if i ever demanded to much it wouldn't pop on me, but if the car encountered an electrical flaw it'd pop no problem.

Id be careful there. You dont want to go too high. Ive seen fuse holders melt and fuses never blow. Ive seen wire shielding completely melted from the wire because the fuse is too big. More power=bigger wire plus lots of other fun things..lol
Well i was on about 5000rms daily and 10,000 burping... So i really needed it. I always run a larger fuse than needed although its not safe.

Right there next to the amp. Is this a bad spot?
I fixed it like Sonic007 suggested. The fuse is now located in the engine bay about 10 inches from the battery. Worked out nice with a piece of velcro to fasten it down.I like your work, all except the location of the fuse holder as others have noted.
Any problems with ground loop? I always found it difficult in cars to get rid of it completely even when I tried to ground all components in one location.

I replaced my 5ch NVX amp I had with this 5ch Soundstream. The first two channels stopped working when you power on, but then starts to work after 5 mins or so. So, the warranty should address it. Don't know what I'll use it for once I get it back.
The cabling up is cleaned up again. Everything is all nice and tidy underneath where the spare tire is, although not shown in the pic below. Thank goodness for velcro wire ties.

Edit: No problems with ground loop at ALL. This system is extremely quiet with no alternator whine either.
