My windshield is injured...

My sonics windshield, at 18,318 has been attacked.
Is this going to be more than $200 to replace?
I remember on my old civic it cost me $110 from a local glass guy which I think was great.

I have a windshield clause in my policy. Free repair/replace and no deductible. Check with your agent.

Hmmm alright I'll check out the insurance stuff.
I went to this place where they stop the crack from spreading and filled it with some stuff and drilled a little hole. It doesn't glare anymore. I will be replacing the glass sometime soon but I'm sure that will be fine like that for now.

You'd better hope you have glass coverage.. I had a windshield replaced on mine, and although my deductible was $100, the glass guy said it was one of the more expensive pieces of glass he ordered at over $700 cost.

The replacement cost may vary based on where you live. I was quoted $460 for mine. Of course my deductible is $500. :sadbanana:

Man, sucks hearing how much everyone pays for windshields nation wide while here in FL it is a free replacement no charge to you at all and most places have a gimmick to get you to use them for replacement. I had one place when I lived in Daytona Beach that would always give a free box of Omaha Steaks with every new windshield lol.

I keep my comprehensive deductible at $100, as we get far too many hailstorms to run at $500. There are times I wish my windshield would get cracked, that way I'd get a new windshield for $100 and lose all these little chips that I notice when driving.

I went to this place where they stop the crack from growing. And it worked!
The guy drilled a small hole on the end of the crack and cleaned the area real good and sucked out the stuff in the crack and filled it with some stuff. It doesn't glare at all anymore either, I forget there's a crack there!
I will replace the glass eventually but I don't think a crack that's about six inches on the bottom right is worth replacing the whole glass yet.

I can't believe this. Two damn rock attacks in a month. First on the right now on the left. Good thing I didn't get the glass replaced after the first crack earlier this month...

Ya that happened to me as well. Things happen in groups of three! This tool fell out of a truck in front of me and hit my A pillar (good size dent in the body panel), a rock chip shortly later (had that one filled in) and then another rock chip a week later. Can't imagine driving a motorcycle with all the rocks out there...
