Need help identifying part please

2014 Chevy Sonic 1.4 L ltz

noticed a leak and it was on one of the hoses connected to my turbo and the radiator if I’m not mistaken.

i believe it is called an inner cooler hose. I am having trouble finding the exact part for my car.

I am not mechanically inclined so it’s been hard to find the part number.
If anyone can help me identify it, I would greatly appreciate it.

The hose you are looking at connects the Intercooler to the Throttle Body / Intake Manifold. It doesn't have any liquid coolant running inside it, just air, so it shouldn't be leaking any liquid.

Part # for this hose:
Turbocharger Intercooler Hose - GM (95182749)

If you have coolant present on the outside of this hose, your coolant reservoir / tank probably has a crack on the bottom that leaks when the coolant is hot, which then will drip down onto this intercooler hose.

Part # for a new coolant tank:
Radiator Surge Tank - GM (95048411)

Yes thank you I changed my whole intercooler hose along with my water outlet. My water outlet was the one that had a major crack in it. And that’s good to know that air runs through that hose because I thought liquid did. Thank you!

Ah, a cracked water outlet would do it too. Sorry my reply was a month after your initial post, but I'm glad you were able to get the real source of the leak identified and corrected.

FYI the intercooler looks like a radiator, because it is one.
It cools the hot air from the turbo that gets fed to the engine through the throttle body.
Boost pressure is what makes the car efficient and powerful - if the clamps are not nice and tight, you will let boost leak and not get high enough pressure. You will be able to feel the performance hit, so make sure to get it tight!

Thank you. This is good to know. I totally thought liquid ran through that hose. I did indeed have a leak under the hose where another clamp was cutting into it but I could tell the difference in my car after I replaced it.
