Hope it's an intake manifold. Would def look better than the plastic and I'm hesitant about cutting the tumblers out

Pretty sure that the intake manifold for the 1.8 and 1.4 are different... Already been stated this is a product that will fit either the 1.8 or 1.4, so I am gonna take a guess and say it is not an intake manifold.

Also that "plastic" is much better than any metal intake. It it doesn't retain heat or absorb heat like metals do, which means lower intake temps. A bigger one would be cool, but literally hot.

i would personally still prefer a metal manifold. the plastic ones look like garbage to me and makes it look like GM cut corners. And besides, a few cooling mods would nix the extra heat anyways, and if metal manifolds were really actually bad, they wouldn't be on dang near every other car in existence... lol

Most new cars have composite manifolds, they are better than metal for several reasons, primarily they are lighter and easier to mold into an effective shape for a given price. Casting aluminum is far more expensive and has no real advantage over plastic, a manufacturer really doesn't care what you think the engine looks like on a regular car. A flagship performance car with a window in the hood, maybe. A sonic, not even a little bit.

Yup. I've seen composite exhaust manifolds too. Pretty cool, you can touch them
even if for only a second. I'm ok with the composite, it does have a few down sides like cracking.If I die, bury me in my truck, because it's never been in a hole it can't get out of!

I have it on no authority that it is a Voltec drive train which replaces the current rear axle.
This turns any Sonic into:
A) A 100% plug in electric, RWD vehicle with a 50 mile range
B) A 100% ICE FWD car with slightly worse performance than stock Sonics due to the added weight
C) A very long range electric RWD vehicle which uses the ICE engine as a generator
D) A hybrid ICE/Electric AWD vehicle with twice the hp and torque of a stock Sonic
As an added bonus, the rear brakes are replaced with regenerative braking system. Nobody really liked the stock rear brakes anyway.
This turns any Sonic into:

I think it's a body reinforcement mod.
I remember a post some time ago about a ride along that Morgan did with someone where there was a comment on the handling of the Sonic. I think there was even mentioned some type of simple modification done to the structure of the vehicle that made it more fun to throw around corners. Based on that real or imagined memory, I think it'll be something like that.
Plus, something like that adds further variety to his product line.
Do I win a prize if I guess correctly?

But imagine throwing it around corners with the hybrid rwd setup! The right stuff in the trunk could put us at 50/50 weight distribution!
I would love for that to happen just because I would non stop want to spin my car around in circles on a slick surface like my friends TT quattro. After you're in 3rd gear, you spin so fast it's like your in a carnival ride but 5 times faster.
