When I ordered my car, I did a lot of research to know exactly what car I wanted. I never did test drive a similar car because most cars sold around here are automatics and I couldn't find one that had a manual transmission. Luckily my brother in Maryland test drove a 2013 sonic turbo with manual transmission and he reported that it had a smooth shift, quiet on the road and a comfortable ride. I went with his review and decided to order the 2014 model. I also did some research to determine if I would actually fit in the car. Someone said that they were about 6ft 7in tall and fit just fine. I'm 6'4" with plenty of headroom because I don't have a sunroof. The heated seats have been useful this winter.
The advanced safety package has been great with avoiding collisions. It disengages the cruise control to slow down the car if it senses a possible collision situation. Sometimes, it appears to track at least one car ahead of the car in front of mine as well. I have been very pleased with this car since the day I picked it up.
Now, it has almost 2000 miles without problems, except for a minor annoyance with the turbo if the engine is strained. I wrote about it in another thread.
I'm considering adding ambient lighting to the interior.
