I live in northeast Georgia near Toccoa. I can see Currahee Mtn., home of Band of Brothers Easy Company, out my breakfast window. I retired from Carrier factory service after 35 years and a million plus miles on the road. I now drive a school bus to keep insurance and spend the mid days with my wife and dogs.
My brother offered the car with 63,500 to me at a low price so I thought "What the heck; let's give it a try! It uses half the gas that my '95 F-150 uses." I cought up on the maintainence and found that the rough idle was caused by the missing PCV check valve. I put a CruzeKit 3.4 on it, and fixed the rough idle. I found coolant leaks on the plastic return piping and charge tank; got those replaced. I didn't like not being able to see the coolant temperature with all the plastic fittings and leak history so I bought a ScanGuage and set alarms for Coolant temp and tire pressures. It comes in handy to see how things are runnin'.
