Newly Added Toy

Some time back (late 2012??) my cousin gave me his old Thule roof rack. Not knowing if it would work I did nothing with it in till August when I pulled it out and did a test fit and it seemed to fit.
Yesterday I finally bought my self a bike rack (Thule Echelon 518) and put it on today.
I keep forgetting how tall the car is in till you try to put a bike on it's roof. Well, here are the pix's I took of it.

Have u sent these pics to Thule? Cause as of Friday 3/28/14 they don't make a fit kit for our cars. Looks like you have proven that something they already have works on our cars. Please tell them!!!!! I need a rack for mine!!! Lol

Very nice, TMac. I'm glad to see you are able to show that a Thule rack does work. I've always been happy w/ their products & also need to get a rack soon. I traded in a pick-up for my Sonic and toting around my 15+ foot kayak might prove to be a chore.

I got it (the rack) from my cousin and he was driving a Accent. The bike rack fits good (not great) I'll send close up pix soon. The weekend maybe.

I've finally have pix's of rack (not on the car) with the two bike... holders (or what ever they are called) and the mode I needed to have it flush.

The Front rack is not square with the rear rack so I some parts that I had kicking around.

My girlfriend Kristen (a different Kristen, if there's a member here that gos by that name) owns a Shwinn, I forget what model it is other then she bought it at Target.

I've been in touch with Thule. They say the Sonic has cheap roof rails and the car is unrackable. Every design they've come up with has blown off and they've tested other manufacturers racks and they've blown off as well. Get a hitch mounted rack.
