I get what your saying...when I sleeves I ment like performance sleeves, they remove the stock sleeves and I believe put thicker wall sleeves that can handle the boost.

Because it sounds like a great idea, till you start adding it up. A ton of money for custom parts.

They do work if you use the correct type, but they are usually only good for a run or two before the batteries need recharged. Takes a lot of juice to spin a m45 fast enough to move enough air.

We have an iron block. You only put a sleeve in if you gouge the wall. In stock form we do NOT have sleeves. My guess is that is why you cant find any for the engine.

That is an aluminum block with sleeves. We have a cast iron block that does not use sleeves.

^^A18XER from a 2009 Vauxhaul Insignia (same engine used in the Astra and previous generation to the one used in the Sonic/Cruze) that is iron and does NOT have sleeves. Research goes a long ways when you try to ask about something that you are repeatedly told you DO NOT need since it is NOT a part in our engine.

I know what sleeves are and I know that in the vast majority of iron blocks out there that you only use a sleeve when you damage a cylinder wall and can not over bore it. I have had an iron block sleeved before.

Ok, so your wanting company's to custom make parts ( internal),some parts require tooling to be made. Depending , you might have 3k just wrapped up in the tooling to make a part on top of the parts cost

Parasitic loss from belt-driven superchargers ranges from 10's to 100's of horsepower, depending on type, engine speed, and RPM. With the current state of battery technology, if you're going to put that much electricity into generating boost, you may as well just put it directly to the wheels instead.

Exactly. The amount of electricity needed to create boost when driven from the engine pulleys causes a loss in power as opposed to the desired "extra" power

MightyCarMods did this same test, using the engines electrical power to try and spin a turbine to compress extra air into the motor. Long story short, it doesn't work because taking that electricity from the engine is just robbing horsepower, putting extra load on the motor. Yes, regular superchargers are parasitic on the engine, but they also compress a great deal more air than these electric superchargers, allowing them to make more power than they steal.

Motortrend took it a step further by putting gas-powered leafblowers on their engine. Yes, it worked, but that is using outside power, not engine electricity, to compress extra air into the engine.

It is a battery system that requires recharging after a pass our two down the track. It it's not connected to the vehicle electrical system, but uses an external charger. Not practical for street use, but is technically an electric supercharger that works. It uses three motors and planetary gears to drive a roots style supercharger.

I've seen it, intriguing idea but that's about it, not at all practical and the cost, weight, and R&D must have been huge.
