This is the GM connects for my SONIC LTZ and I talked to the dealer business center today and they confirmed to me that mine when to QC when during the bailment dates so I amusing that all the ones with that event code did the same

I have been trying to figure out the pattern for QC Hold, and it may be 4104 before 4150. I have determined that going straight to 4150 means no QC Hold. The problem is the dealers are not always told that a car is in QC Hold, and Chevy seems to use 4B00 for several things, one of the things being a QC check, which can last from a couple of days to weeks on end.

I believe something was discovered during a QC Hold that effected turbo Sonics both 1LT and 1LZ and for some reason the resolution allowed 1LT to be produced perhaps four weeks before the 1LZ started production. I also believe we will never know what caused the hold up.

Here is my shout out to Vanessa: Chevy could use a status code specifically for QC and alleviate a lot of frustration, which arises from not knowing what is going on, so if you get an opportunity perhaps you could mention that you have found such a request on the boards you are monitoring.

I'm located out by Syracuse, NY. When I checked this morning they still hadn't ship my car so that 1-3 days I have a feeling will be a little bit longer but I have been impressed with how fast they have gotten cars to the dealership in the past.

I got the 1LZ sedan and I'm on the Mississippi gulf coast right now. Should be interesting to see how it works out.

There is a small chance both will arrive before X-Mas. Figure ten to fourteen days on the train, and then at least two days at the yard before loading on the truck for dealer delivery. West coast the train car carrier will have to switch from CSX to UP, for the Gulf, I am not sure if a carrier switch has to be made.

Also, your dealer can now track the rail car as it makes its way across the US.

Talked to my dealer last night and they just took my Sonic off the truck.
Will be headed there this afternoon to check it out and sign some paperwork.

Well they threw on another 4b00 status today a few days after hitting 4150 (invoiced to dealer) so hopefully shipping soon. Getting really tired of driving my wife's car.
