Got curious to see if the Sonic was having the same problems as the 2011-2013 Chevy Cruze. Looks like some of you are. My condolences! You do NOT expect problems like this to popup with a brand new car. GM has been dragging their feet on this issue since 2011!

My first bit of advice is to go to cruzetalk.com and look for the coolant topic. That will take about a week to read, but it will be an EYE OPENER- especially BigSkyMontana's posts! He was the MOST patient in dealing with this issue. He definitely has the patience of a saint!

I just hit 800 miles on mine... and getting the Mylink radio update has become a serious fiasco. 1st dealer had to clue on what I was requested, 2nd dealership has blown up the mylink radio/onstar.

No where as bad as a heater core issue, but still "blows" (sorry for the pun!) .
