Pedders coilovers!

Hi everyone,

I just bought my Pedders coilover for sonic! I will go in USA to installed them since it's very complicated to get them in Canada, and worst, getting them directly with GM... Anyways, I tuned my car with the Vermont tuning EFILive which works really great and i will go there to install my kit.

I wonder now if the pedders kit include the "front stabilizer link" which the stock one is made of plastic and will break eventually.... Do you guys that installed pedders can tell me if the stabilizer is there? if not any one knows where i can find a solid one that will be able to resist the lowering i will do with the pedders. I would like to change that link while i'm under the car. Is it a long job changing that part? Should I ?

You bought them and didn't look at the parts list?

They come with them as I am sure the stock ones would snap in no time.

I didn't find a part list for it... and there is any dealers for it around here... I look for most parts and one place the shaft was with the kit but it wasn't possible to know if it was in the kit or extra...

Hehe, I would have bought them anyways, just need to know before installation :p Since i need to go US, I would like to have everything ready for it!
Thanks for this perfect picture! I remember now to have seen it... -.- But still, I couldn't know if it was from pedders or that preloader bought it separatly ...
I'm happy now! I can't wait to install thoses...1 month to go... :)

What's the kafuffle with pedders coilovers coming to Canada, I have a mechanics shop in vancouver BC and would rather do the work myself

I'm in MTL and there aren't any issues up here with getting them or installing them, the dealer said if I wanted it done they would do it no questions asked since its GMPP approved...

nice, I didn't know they were GMPP approved, good to know, mine are supposed to be here by the end of next week

Well here, it seems hard to believe but the guy at dealer said they can't get them via gm, anyways in canada it will cost me ~600-700$ more since the prices aren't the same, or the shipping cost ...It cost me 50$ for a shipping to vermont and with the duty taxes(UPS hidden fees) it would become overwhelming, it would have cost me 350$ for it to be ship to Quebec. I can't do the "border tax" myself since our stupid prime minister change the local service and that service is no longer provided at my town... My car dealer would install a part for 100$/hour... i found the same at 60$us/h, $us < $can! (ATM..)

So i will go with my girlfriend do some trekking in VT while my car get "pimped"!

PS: i paid my pedders 1500$us +50$shipping. nothing more..

eh.. i didn't tho to ask over here first. And i saw your ads only few days ago.

It will still be cheaper than what i could have found around!:) for an higher price i could have ksport ones... I said no ty.

For now i need to wait until i get time for installation trip! hehe I will post when those are installed. I still need to know how low i wanna go. looking around 1,4"front-1,5"rear. I can't go to low, the road here are near the war scenario...
What you guys think is a good height ? (considering our "rally" road style)

I just found out that rear coils are too soft ? I wonder if it worth the price switching the rear coil from 3kg/mm to 8kg/mm...? any thoughts?
