I think im going to do where it follows the grill line and flares out. More like an evo

I actually kinda dig it, despite what I said above. I think it works well on a white car.
What makes it look better to me than all of the others posted, is that the the angle of the grill is reversed at the point where plastidip began. Continuation of the grill angle makes it look too flared and doesn't flow with the lines of the car at all.

Agreed this works much better on a white car than any other color. When I tapped it off originally to spray the grill like that it just looked so wide and no one had done it narrow yet so I figured give it a shot. Here are the pics I could find of Sonics with the EVO front and you can see how everyone else has done it and the wider ones definitely look a bit off.
If you go wider with it you def will look more like an EVO but like Ahtoxa said it looks like it is fighting the lines of the car.
And an EVO just for comparison.

I had a bunch of ideas when I did mine too so I just printed a picture and colored it to see how it would look.

Yeah print a picture and grab the sharpie because it is easier to do a mock up than to redo the whole thing afterwards when you realize it may have looked better another way.

I feel that blacking out mirrors or door handles makes the car look like a lower model and since the car is entry level to begin with it makes it look even less of a model, but that is just my opinion.
Best bet is take a picture from the front and color the mirrors and see.

If you need any help on how to tape off I have pics in my build thread. I can also recommend shaking the can and then putting it in a sink with hot water for a few minutes and shaking again after because it makes it spray more consistent and evenly without the tip clogging.

I kno you can peel off dip when its fresh but what about after it dries? How do you get it off then?

Looks great! For the head and tail lights dip. Did you spray the whole thing them peel the actually light part off? What lowering kit do you have on that whip

No I masked everything off. I did the Chrome Window trim too.

Isnt there a light to the left of that top taillight? Did you just dip over that? If so would you recommend that? Seems easier especially if you go to put tint on later (which is what im doing) just that much less to tint.
