While at first I was impressed with my LTZ's speakers, I will chalk this up to newfound joy in my first car. Now when i play with the stereo i realize the mush that is the rear audio. Now I am seriously considering putting in a custom stereo, with orion 6.5s in the front doors and pioneers in the back doors. id probably go with a kicker amp and worry about some hardcore subs later. anyone had any real luck with installing their own stereo? any rumors as to when upgrade packages can be expected from Chevy?

Not with the Sonic, but some of my faves are the lanzar opti6c for components in the front. For the rear, not sure, but someone had a post about upgrading rear speakers and them still not sounding that great. Check around here and I'm sure you'll find the other thread about the rears.
