My 2012 sonic original cluster was going out. T/c light didn't turn on or off. Right blinker indicator didn't always work and half the main screen was dim. I replaced it with the used unit from ebay that seems to work perfect. However it doesn't show mileage because I guess it needs to be programmed? The local Chevy dealer said that they cannot program a used cluster. Is this true? Is this something that I can do myself some way somehow? Or what would be the best approach from here? Worst case scenario I guess I could send the original cluster in to be rebuilt but I'd rather just program the new to me cluster if possible. I don't have a ton of experience with Chevys I did own a Dodge dart before this and they had an app called alfa OBD and you could reprogram the entire car with that app. Volkswagen has a similar deal with vag com and obd11. I assume Chevy doesn't have something similar? What would be the best approach going forward? Thanks everyone.
