Removing reverse lockout

Im trying to understand how it would be bent. Its designed for the rod to be centered on its bezel and boot. How would you want it to be bent? More towards the driver im guessing?

I'm not sure honestly how I would bent it. I don't have a sonic yet, but in the future its a thought if I see fit.

You if do think about getting it turned and bent, what about a new shifter totally. That way it could be bent, correct dimensions, and correct threading for the knob. It would take me two minutes on CAD to make. You could test and evaluate with another material to see what bend or angle would work best.

Might sound complex, but I am sure others would do it too. Plus it would have a very custom look.

If I get time I'll try to design one in cad. I use it everyday with my job designing communication transfer.

For a job as simple as this inventor is more than enough. I would use it for this. You could give the plans to a machine shop and have them complete it if you don't have the tools.

I like inventor, ive played with solidworks a bit but im not a master at it. Inventor is cake.

I should have known the term "turned", considering i use a brake lathe on almost a daily basis. Whiskey and the internet usually end up in confusion haha.

I hate solid works. Not because it's a bad program, but because I really like AutoDesk, but I like AutoCAD and hate inventor.

Has anyone done this recently? I'm about to go through the process of threading the shaft for a new knob, and am considering deleting the lockout to get some more room and options.
