Sedans Rule!
If you'd like to tap into the reverse light wire and would like to not have to do it way in the back of your car, here is a more convenient location much closer to the under dash fuse panel. This is for a 2013 LTZ sedan with the 6MT, if you have a different year, transmission, etc you should confirm the wire color before making a permanent connection. As always, mess with your wiring at your own risk!
==================================================
First remove the driver side kick panel, there is a clip up by the hood release that pulls off with a little effort and the rest comes off by pulling straight up. Take your time and be careful, you will have to flex it around to detach it from the B-pillar bottom trim piece. To make removing the kick panel even easier you may want to remove the dash side panel first which also simply clips in.
I found the easiest location was just next to the drivers seat, if you get closer to the fuse box the wire harness splits and some wires head over to the transmission tunnel (oops, I mean exhaust tunnel) and it divides again by the hood release, I wasn't able to locate it forward of the drivers seat.
It is the green/white stripe wire with the tiny hole in the insulation.
