I have said a few times I also have a Honda

Well. I have finally decided to do something with it!
I have owned this since July and just never really did anything with it.

It's a 1997 accord wagon. F22b2, auto, with 206k miles. The body is super clean!

Lately I have been getting the itch to play with it. Yes, it has a few dents, yes the paint is faded.

I do not want to do a performance build. ( yet anyways, I will be doing a cat back just because)

I was kinda thinking a lowered, cambered play toy. You know. Because I can!

Awesome! The Accord wagon is a pretty sick project car. They are not as common which make it that much better. There is a huge plethora of parts on the net. Cant wait to see what you end up doing with it. Best part is, everything motor related is instant gratification!

Rip the engine out and put a 3.5 J series in it.

I feel this is sound advice, however it is similar to telling you to rip the 1.8 out and put a 1.4T in and you never listen to that advise either.

I am happy with my 1.8, still puts a smile on my face. Why should I spend the extra money to upgrade?

I'm sorry but anyone that lives where you do and drives on a lot of dirt roads as well as that driveway you have, and thinks ever lowering a car is a good idea must be a few floors short....

I agree with that but, I actually do not run into a lot of problems like you would expect. My driveway is the biggest issue.


My normal commute is only a few miles of back roads then the rest is all main. It's not all that bad. Besides that I'm only really lowered 1.5 or so inches.

I have driven my car all winter, snow covered roads and all and always made it home.

I think the frost must have raised our sidewalk because for the past few weeks the Sonic has been rubbing on the apron every time I back out. It never used to touch, now it touches hard.


Maybe it'll settle back down soon.

Just had to add to this thread, cuz my very first car ever was a frost white 1994 Accord Wagon! It really is a terrific car...as long as you like cars with auto transmissions that run forever and that are super easy to work on. I always secretly dreamed of modding it and turning it into a kickass sleeper car...just cuz how much would it suck to lose a race to a late 90s honda wagon?!

Fun fact: In the first Gran Tourismo PS video game, you can actually buy this exact car. I still remember when I completed all of the available mods for it...and I was beating Corvette Gran Sports and NSX's!
