Service Parts Identification Sticker location?

Edit/Update: For those looking for the answer to the question of “Where is the Service Parts Identification Sticker?”, it is located inside the spare tire well, somewhere on the wall. See below. Mine was at the 10 o'clock position; another member reported theirs at the 2 o'clock position ... so your exact location may vary.

Hey folks, new owner of a 2012 Sonic LTZ (Cyber Gray, 1.4T) here! I'll build up a formal intro thread at a later date ... but in the meantime I have a quick question:

Does anyone know where the Service Parts Identification Sticker is located? I'm trying to verify the color code. Long story short, all my paperwork (including registration) from the dealership says this car is blue -- specifically Blue Topaz Metallic on one sheet -- but it most definitely is NOT blue. I questioned this no less than five times during the purchase process, and was repeatedly reassured it was correct as written ("it looks blue in a certain light", "it's a steely gray-blue", etc.). Had anyone done five seconds of research -- say, on Chevy's online configurator, for example -- they would easily be able to see the difference between these two colors.

Bottom line is, I want to verify what color code is on the Service Parts Identification Sticker -- so if it proves to be listed as Cyber Gray, I can demand the dealership reprocess any/all paperwork accordingly, and if it proves to be listed as Blue Topaz, demand the dealership to find out why the heck it's Cyber Gray.

I glanced all around in most of the places suggested here (Chevrolet Paint Code Locations | Touch Up Paint | AutomotiveTouchup | 888-710-5192) and couldn't find it. (I didn't want to start pulling panels and whatnot.) Closest thing I found was a silver sticker with some of the car's basic info, and a QR code which turned out to be the VIN ... but no list of service parts. (This sticker was right nearby the tire pressure / load sticker in the driver's door jamb.)

Pictures work wonders! If not what is the last 8 digits of the vin... I can tell you then what color it was built at factory as...

Reading that a Chevy is delivered with the wrong exterior color is a first for me. That should say how unusual this situation is.

Did the original poster look in the spare tire area. I have not but it seems in other Chevy cars that is where I have seen the Service Identification Label.

Very strange.

I would say post a picture but I myself can not always tell what color a posted vehicle is which is why I try to stick to real colors when buying a car.

No I have never considered Cyber Gray Met. a real color.

These are the (highly oversaturated) pics from the dealer. (I haven't taken nice pics of my own yet -- been getting home too late, already dark!) But there is absolutely no question about it -- this car is most definitely gray, and not remotely blue. I've seen photos of Blue Topaz Metallic; hell, just got to the configurator (2012 Chevy Sonic Hatchback | Build Your Own Compact Car | Chevrolet) and flip back and forth between the two colors -- you'll see they're not even close.

Last 8 of VIN are C4181423.

Yes, I looked around in there too and didn't see it. Not that I couldn't have missed it -- I only had a short time to search so all glances were cursory in nature.

Wonderful, that's probably why I missed it ... lighting wasn't so good in there. Thank you! I'll look at it later on today.

Only nice mods for me. Plenty of clean modding done on my 2004 Tiburon. But, more on that when I get around to writing my intro thread.

Exactly why you missed it. Last November, when I bought the Sonic I pulled the spare tire cover to make sure there was a spare tire and I did not see it then tho I did glance around thinking it might be there. Even when you know its there it is difficult to see, even in daylight.
