That's lame. The saver ring on my KDWs rubs/melts when I bottom out with passengers, even with my fenders pulled. I could nix the spacers but I really want my next set of wheels to be flush&tucked. And even if I were to stretch some KDWs like hell, that ring will be an issue.

I'm looking specifically at made in USA tires. There are limited options.

GoodYears are made in Germany.

What I wanted, but was out of stock(still is) was the Continental Extreme Contact DW. Absolutely brilliant tire, lightest one I found in that size, and minimal rim guard.

I guess I'll take a look at the Conti's.

I wasn't aware about GoodYears leaving USA. Even most BFGs are made out of the country, but mine were born in the USA.

Tire hunting is draining, as I'm sure you know. I wish I did have a hang up against foreign tires.

As far as I know Cooper tires are made here.

The Goodyear Eagle Sport I have are made in the USA.

Cooper has some made in USA but not performance sized if memory serves, as a result of a buy out a few years ago.

The Conti's are USA but were not in stock when I changed a few weeks ago.

There is more road noise but nothing to indicate out of round and I am on a lowered RS.

After I posted the Germany thing, I thought about different tires/different manufacturing plants. My Assymetrico IIs are marked as made in Germany.
