Speaker Harness Adapter Part Number?

Just began ordering parts for a no cut install and need the speaker wiring adapters... Anyone have any idea what the part number might be for the speaker harnesses?

I know I've seen the back of the speaker somewhere and it looked like Metra 72-4568 might mate up but I'm not 100% on that.

This is relative to my interests too.

If you don't wish to cut the wires but can't find an adapter, you can feed the speakers off some wire taps, just tape the stock connectors, tap a wire through the jacket and crimp on the appropriate connector for your speaker from there.

I have used 3M T-Taps for a similar purpose in my Grand Prix! (I was leeching a high-level signal line off the back speakers for factory integration of a sub.) It works pretty good and leaves your factory wires relatively unscathed. When you remove the tap, it will have a slice in the wiring jacket. Some electrical tape and she's as good as new.

Apparently some type of external crossover exists somewhere in the harness so I'm just going to bite the bullet and run new wiring. If I had known earlier I would have bought different speakers but dems da breaks.

I still won't be cuttting into anything factoryy. Using the PAC amplifier intergration harness and cutting out their crappy pre-amp circuit and running the speaker level outputs into something better.

As per the metra adapter, I should be able to confirm if it works or not.

It list that adapter as compatible with my mom's truck. Now I only need to get some days off so I can pull both door panels off of our vehicles.

Those adapters will not work. The connector on the back of the speakers is way different, if you were to cut off the outer plastic surround then the spacing between the pins will work. but the spacing between the pins is the only part that seems to be the same

I was able to get adaptors for mine from Best Buy. Believe it or not, they were for a Ford. The installer knew which ones I needed right off the bat

Is this the one that you were talking about, it is made by Metra and it is definitely designed to fit a ford.

It looks like it may work. But I'm basing that off of a memory of the picture of the speaker and not the actual picture that I took.

I used it on a 2013 and it works but it is a tight fit. It required a bit of force to get it together. I'm not going to be trying to take them off so I guess it isn't an issue.

It allows for quick and simple speaker install while insuring a solid, efficient connection for current to transfer to the speaker. If you ever decided to uninstall, it allows for quick plug and play of the old speakers.
