I'll be curious as to how that goes. Most the time the programming choices that you are given, are based on your VIN. If you don't have an RS VIN, it's likely that it won't show you the RS calibration as a choice.
That is true, but there is a way around that. And that is why I believe Chevy should allow it to be done for any Sonic non RS owner who desires the change. The fact that I like the difference does not mean any one or very many any ones may want it.
Thankfully, I am living in blissful ignorance of the RS's improved steering calibration. I like the responsiveness of LT's wheel, but if I could get it recalibrated to something better I might have to give it a thought.

I'm not sure whether you can specify which programming you want, I'm not sure how it is set up. It might automatically detect the VIN, if it asks for the VIN maybe we can use an RS VIN? I'm sure all the components of the steering system are the same...
Steering works on pressure with the electric motor running a pump I would assume it would slow the motor down to reduce pressure and stiffen the steering
Pain in the ass..... I've been doing a little here and there between snow and rain and getting ready to build a house I've had little time. I'm hoping to have it done this summer I got everything ready to go but no time to do it
Did a little more digging...looks like we will need the RS's VCI (vehicle configuration index) to change the PSCM calibration. I've read of Cruze people changing steering wheels to get cruise control and having their dealers get VCI numbers to reprogram the BCM/ECM.
