Test Drove a Turbo Sonic!

Why in the hell didn't you just get the 1.4T in the first place, I don't get it. All ever 1.8 dummies have is regrets once they taste turbo power, should've done your homework son. I knew exactly what I was looking for when I was car shopping, & I wasn't gonna fool myself or settle for anything less. Hatch, turbo, auto combo was all I was searching for, luckily the exact Sonic existed at that particular time, as I was in dire need of a new car. Trying to trade your current Sonic for another brand new one just to have turbo is stupid, unless you like losing hella money. Get what you want next time, don't rush into anything, cuz in the end you're the one that has to live with it & drive it daily, it's better to be happy than miserable. You're def not the first nor the last that's gonna have such feelings. You said it yourself how much faster (stronger) the 1.4T is compared to the 1.8, so I don't know why all these NA owners think they're the same or tricking themselves that the different engines are quite equal, you're proof they ain't. Had a Blast driving this car and i gotta say what power it has! Threw me to the back of the seat and put a smile from ear to ear on my face!
Actually it's like... 9 seconds.

Man there is so much hate flowing from you because you so happen to find the exact car you wanted in one shot at your dealer. You also stated that you were in dire need of a new car right then, so what would you have done if all they had were 1.8 and there wasn't a single turbo available but you really wanted/needed the Sonic???? You end up buying the 1.8 and go through all the same problems we have with knowing we wanted turbo but none could be found.
I myself went to 3 dealers did a search in my whole state(FL) not a single turbo anywhere or the color I wanted. So what happens when you have to get a car in a few day deadline?? You settle for what's available. I was looking for a Cyber Grey Turbo Sedan but ended up with a White 1.8 sedan. Got all the options I wanted but wrong color and wrong motor but pickens where slim and I had no choice but to get out of my 12 MPG SUV.
SO moral of the story is don't be so negative and say some one is a dummy because they had to get a car and weren't as lucky as you to fall into a car by chance. We are all here because we love the Sonic whether it is 1.8 or 1.4 we share the same car and I am happy with the car I purchased.
Get off of your high horse because you have a lucky horse shoe up your butt and learn to separate your sentences into paragraphs like a normal person.......and I'm sure I could find a better meaning for your car motto.......

I lost my brother to Heroine and then my Sonic. Nothing good ever comes of the stuff.
But anyway.
Go trade the 1.8 sub-par Sonic in and get a real Sonic. ($ub$sonic will love that one).

Hit the Head on the Nail! So i guess i have to explain this one again...
when i went shopping for a new car back in March 2012, I didnt have much time to work with. My current vehicles at that time were taking a major sh** on me. Every time i turned around they were breaking down and needing some kind of repair done to them. The one was giving out and was on its last legs and before it totally went and i was able to get a good amount from the dealer for a trade in from it considering its poor shape i didnt have much time to work with. The other vehicle was a gas hog and was making higher payments than it should have ever been (got screwed on that deal, different story, lesson learned)...
So i went in to the dealership, they offered me a nice trade in for the one vehicle, and offered to finish paying off the rest of the loan on the other vehicle which was less than the vehicle was worth thus keeping me in the positive for equity. YES, i went in wanting to get a 2012 Blue Topaz Metallic Sedan Fully Loaded LT2 with the 1.4T Turbo Engine and a Manual Trans, yes i said manual as i was planning on learning how to drive a manual with this car. plus a turbo engine should be mated with a manual. more control and fun that way.
Problem was There was none to be found exactly the way I WANTED it to be. Blue Topaz Was yet to be in full production and i could not wait on one to be built. I needed a new car within the week. We searched all over and none was to be found as described above! So i had them find me a 1.8 the way i wanted it and was able to get that one the next day.
Plus, after crunching numbers even if i had found that 1.4T i wanted, i just was not going to be able to financially afford the vehicle because the payments would have been too high for my spending budget. I needed the payments to be under $280.
Even with my trades and a little down the payments on a Turbo model as i had described it they said the best they would have been able to do for me was a $315+ Payment. I couldnt do that, thus why i opted for the Fully Loaded LT2 1.8L Sedan Sonic instead. Its a nice car, i love it. But would i been happier with the Turbo Model, hell yeah who wouldnt. But at that point and time when i needed a new car that is all i had to work with and could afford was the 1.8L.
I came across this Turbo Model in town yesterday, thought it would be nice to at least get to try one out to see what i could have had if the timing could have been better and Asked if i could Test Drive the car. They allowed it and i loved every second of driving that Turbo Model. Do i wish i could have gotten the Turbo Model when i First bought, yeah, again, who wouldnt. But im happy with my 1.8 Sonic. Its been way better than my previous cars i traded in for it. Gas mileage and so forth has been way better.
If i get the opportunity to be able to purchase a 1.4T down the road i will. but til then it was just fun to get to try one out. That is why i posted this Thread to begin with. Simply to share the experience i had of getting to try one out!

Once I researched the Sonic, there was no way in hell I was not gonna get the exact one that I wanted, period! I'm not purchasing something I'm gonna use every damn day & costing thousands of dollars that I really don't want or like, are you crazy? I don't care what the circumstances are, a vehicle is a major decision that you must live with for the rest of your life, unless you're into leasing or always trading. Me, I plan on keeping this car forever, I go into all my vehicle purchases with this same thinking, but I just haven't been too lucky with them so far...
Oh, I can put my sh*t into paragraphs, but this ain't English class, so learn to read whole ones then before spitting at the mouth. If you don't like to, then don't read it, simple as that. One dealer I went to had 17 sonics. Every single one of them was a 1.8 automatic
Same in NJ at multiple dealers.

When I purchased my 1.4T, they had 10 or so sonics, only 2 were turbo, only 1 manual turbo. I really wanted victory red or grey hatch but settled for black. A lot has to do with location it seems.

^LMAO-this is classic! Just for all those "non-turbo" states, hell I'll even take this further by offering up mine with all the trimmings for $20K, yeah!I had no idea the turbos were that hard to find.

Yo SouthFLSonic, do I talk to the Emperor or Darth Vader about getting a "Storm Trooper Edition" Sonic LT cuz I'm a real Star Wars geek myself lol! Come to think of it, I'd probably like the "Darth Maul" or "General Grievous" SE's much better hahaha!!! Lmk when we can meet up on the Death Star or Star Destroyer to do business ok!
