The Fit was a disappointment- Want a Sonic

The new Fits are nothing more than small minivans. They even look like minivans. The wife and I looked at one, but they wanted us to pay sticker price on a model with hail damage (that was repaired). I laughed and walked away.

I traded my Sonic on a used base model Toyota Yaris because I got tired of the car payment. The Sonic is cooler, drives better, and is more comfortable. However, I haven't had any of the issues with this car like I had with the Sonic.

On my Sonic, the driver side door was sagging off the lot, causing it to scrape the striker. Eventually it went away after opening and closing the door for a few weeks. The keyless remote sensor would randomly glitch out and not work. The dealer could never figure it out after replacing several parts. Lastly, the MyLink system was very buggy.

That being said, I miss my Sonic, but I'm thinking that I'll get better service out of this Yaris.

As long as you got the seat spring recall done on the Yaris you should be good to go. We test drove one from a car rental company and when I hit the gas my seat slid all the way to the back. I hit the brakes to pull over and it slid all the way forward. Quite an interesting driving experience sitting on a bed of marbles so to speak lol

I don't know what year you have; but one model year Yaris they didn't tighten down the rear wheel bearing bolts from the factory and it was causing brake lockups or loss of braking.

What I'm saying is every model car has it's quirks. While your sonic had comfort issues. At least it didn't have Toyota's safety issues. Just my .02
