I know i responded to your pm but incase anyone else wants to know... I painted them on the car and after a little trial and error i found that its best to leave as much extra as you can and dont rely on tape on for a clean edge. Make sure that even the parts your peeling off are painted thick or else itll be alot harder.

I know there are quite a few pages, but please read a few. There 1 screw and clips holding it onto the black bezel. If you want to remove them without breaking anything, you'll need to remove the bumper to access screws holding the bezel onto the headlight.

And before you ask how to remove the bumper, there is a stickied thead about it already. Search function works great!

You can't even tell mine weren't taken off the car. Just be careful and take your time.

do i need to remove the front bumper just to get the headlights off or can just unscrew the headlights them selves. i understand how they come off because i started to remove one ring part way but stopped since i didn't want to break the ring off.

I feel bad for the folks who tried to remove them without reading up to Page 24. I was planning on dipping my rings but then I realized I had to remove the entire bumper. Luckily I'm going to be removing the bumper for my Halo install soon anyways, so I may do it then. What about the rear though, can I plastidip those without removing bumper?

The rears can be done rather easily.

Pop the hatch or trunk.
Undo a few bolts or screws. The hatch only has 2.
Pull the whole tail light assym out.
Undo several Torqs screws and remove the trim.
Undo some more torqs screws and pull off the rings.
Paint em up

So what I've gathered is there are a few tabs and one screw on each ring that secures them but you can brake the screw tab and pop them off and they will still pop back on securely with just the tabs still in tact? I wanna tint the inner lights yellow and the outer black and also paint the rings black. Figured It'd be easier to tint them with the rings off.

That's correct. Just make sure they don't pop off on their own. It's rare but a member or two have lost a ring after breaking the tab with a screw but not enough to be concerned.

No need to remove the rings to tint the lights if you use Lamin-X precut film.

yeah $50 for one set but it includes both high both low and both fogs and is very high quality, it is what I used for my tails. It is not regular window film and is designed for exterior applications and applies much much easier than window film with curved surfaces.

I used Lamin-X on my build too. it's a great product, I was weary of the price as well, but after install you'll be so glad you paid it because it's clearly the way to go.
