Just finished repainting the stock rims. Did a cross between black metallic and gun metal.

looks good with the hood. Are they painted or dipped? Some eibachs would sit that sedan down nicely.

I went with paint. I knew that I wanted to keep them this color. And yea once I have the money I'm going to lower it a bit and get a 3d carbon body kit.

Yes I did lose two of my airbags by doing this, however sitting in the new seat you'll quickly realize you really won't need them. I feel more grounded in the new seat. It literally hugs you and holds you in place, so I really don't see it as a loss. Here's my ratings: comfort 9/10, installation 6/10, look 10/10. Be prepared to get some new bolts for your seat belt connections and to attach the seats to the mounts (hence 6/10). But for what you get, the price, I think, is more than fair. And in case anyone is wondering no the dash did not come like that. It was originally the standard grey. That was a weekend project where I took the whole dash apart and repainted it with krylon plastic bonding paint. You can pick it up at any Lowes or Home Depot.

I gotta admit that looks awesome. Those are the seats the RS should've come with (or similar).

Do you have an airbag light on the dash from disconnecting it?

You also lost an armrest. Do the side bolsters support the back of your arms at all?

no i dont have an airbag light, i disassembled the airbags so the only thing that is there is the deployment sensor and stuck it under the seat. i wouldn't recommend this if you dont know what your doing though WARNING: messing around with airbags is risky and you can be severely injured in doing so, do not disassemble airbags unless properly trained. on another note yes the side bolsters support the back of the arms quite nicely.

But now you can't sell the old seats with working airbags. I wonder if there's a way to detach the sensor and still not get a light, so that you can keep the old seats/airbags intact

I put the seats in storage. If for any reason I decide to sell this car in putting the stock parts back on.

I already made a 6 hour trip with no fatigue whatsoever so I imagine a 12 will be just as pleasant. Truth be told that is the reason I got rid of the oem seats. Went coast to coast in them and I was not comfortable. All in all $650 well spent I think.
