I don’t see much talk about timing chain replacements. 40,000-100,000 K
—->> What’s everyone seeing in terms of needing a chain ?
I’m at 76,000 K got a P0017 yesterday.
Changed Oil, Checked Cam Actuators , Pulled Oil Plungers and Screens were clean and Clear .
——>>> 1.4 L ; GT 250 Turbo ; 72 lb Springs ; 42lb injectors ; Tuned.
When trying to clear code it comes back within 3-4 seconds. —Oil Changed,Swapped Actuators code stayed. Going to look at Cam and Crank Sensors… If still have code pulling Valve Cover and looking at cam alignment and chain tension. Could I have jumped a tooth on the cam ??
