To those of you who HATE the front seat headrests... Rejoice!

I have tilted my seat back and I added a message cushion to driver chair that heats and massages..... makes it a little more comfortable so the headrest is not right against my head.

The problem I had is the bottom part of the seat on the left side... felt like I was falling off it all the time.. dealer replaced my cushion

Might the angle of the seat back be a factor? Mine is very upright, very chair like. I think most folks prefer a slight recline. Perhaps this causes the head to tilt back slightly? I mean all it takes is a quarter inch difference.

If you like seat recline, you'll not see the headrest angle as a problem. If you like to sit up straight and have the seat back up straight, the headrest will push your head forward. I think this is probably what is driving some of Chevy's decisions on seat design; the Cruze is not viewed as a sporty car, so has headrests almost in line with the seat back and therefore it supports quite an upright driving position -- the Sonic is seen as catering to a sports-oriented audience, so with more recline -- and the Equinox, whose headrests fit the seats on the Sonic, is somewhere in between. Why they don't simply make the headrests adjustable is beyond me. Three click-stop settings would do the trick.

shorebreeze, what you say seems to make sense but that is not my experience. In my car the passenger seat is reclined somewhat more compared to the driver side. My head rests squarely against the head rest when in the passenger seat, not when in the driver seat. Try it out yourself and see. The only other variable is seat height, which might be different between the two seats.
