I, personally, have the attitude that the Cruze replaced the Cobalt which replaced the Cavalier. All are/were compacts, and all are/were assembled in Ohio at the Lordstown Assembly Plant.

This is not considered to be a politically correct attitude, and I have been accused of being a troll for expressing this attitude elsewhere.

This is my opinion and please, dear people, do not try to confuse me with any facts. In this area, nothing is less relevant than the facts.

Forgot my point: Chevy did not discontinue either the Cobalt or the Cavalier, GM just renamed it.

agreed , do you think will see a performance version of the cruze, im leaning towards chevy will be out of the sport compact market for a while, no reason to make one when your selling 80+ thousand camaros a year

I don't think they'll make a performance version of the Cruze. I feel, and just an opinion, that GM is perfectly happy slapping an RS on it and calling it a day.

GM made a performance version of the Fiero for one year then cancelled that vehicle line. There were several years of a performance version of the Cobalt but once Camaro reached the point of meeting demand, it appears that vehicle line was cancelled, at least for the North American market. I am sure there are more examples, but my point is this: no, there will be no GM performance version of the Cruze. The RS has always been an appearance package for Chevrolet no matter which vehicle line has used the designation.

Got that, Eric, I was simply supporting your statement about what RS means to Chevrolet. Even now, maybe even today, someone will post on the Camaro board complaints that one can get the RS package on the V6, feeling that cheapens the meaning. And you know if Chevy offers a 4-banger for the Camaro the complaints will flood the boards from people who assume there never was a 4-banger Camaro in the past. Heck, the first year Corvette was a Blue Flame 6 cyl.

I'm sure the sonic can do over 130 I have a 1.8 auto and have gone 128 on it, only reason I didn't go faster was because I had to slow down for a turn. I cant post a pic here because my phone won't let me upload pix but I do have a pic of it on my profile as proof.
