they are talking about the cruze 1.4 so this is what got me thinking of doing a new IC on the sonic i figured the sonic is probably the same
The stock Cruze intercooler is not right up front and center like on the Sonic. Totally different.
A bigger intercooler MAY hurt performance on our current setups. Depends on the pressure drop thru the IC and also if a bigger IC is used that is more volume that must be filled and pressureised which could increase turbo lag. Of course until someone does it and performs some in depth testing we won't know for certain
If you guys try this and it fits, no one else order any. I'm also a treadstone dealer so ill be able to get these for you cheaper than you see on treadstone's site.
if not i follow trends lolYou're a creator of trends if it fits easily and is easily tuned for.
I'd say 5% of people are trend makers and 85% are followers with 10% in limbo
The limbo percentage is higher than 10, I call'em hippies.
Back on Topic (BOT), corbetts, if you do go through with an IC, it would be worth investing in a temperature differential gauge, possibly first and install it on your stock IC while you are preparing to set new trends with the new IC.
They're relatively cheap, Auto Meter Z-Series Differential Temperature Gauge 2636, and would help get hard data for comparison to the upgrayyd IC.
