I own a 2014 Chevy Sonic LT.
It is the 1.8L naturally aspirated engine.
I am currently at 122,032 miles.
I put about 100,000 of those miles on it myself after buying it used.
I am a maintenance geek who ensures that the oil is changed, the ties are rotated, and everything else in the maintenance schedule is addressed down to the cabin air filter. This is why this is very frustrating for me and also my mechanic whom I trust.
The check engine light is on. It has thrown the following codes:
I told him I would mention this on a Chevy Sonic forum since it may be a common problem for this car (and the Cruze which shares the same part) and maybe others had this problem and were able to find a less costly solution.
It's especially frustrating because I wouldn't even know there was a problem if there wasn't a check engine light perpetually on. I am sure that I do not have optimum power and maybe my mileage is a hair worse than it could be, but neither of these problems are noticeable at all. The two main reasons for wanting this to be fixed are that I cannot use the remote starter with the check engine light on and also I will be looking to trade it in sometime this year most likely and it will kill my trade-in value. Plus looking at damn light is so frustrating!

- P2076 - Intake Manifold Tuning Valve Position Sensor/Switch Circuit Range/Performance
- P0324 - Knock Control System Error
- P0171 - Fuel Trim System Lean – Bank 1
